I have always liked how poetry can emphasize a point and how a writer can use it to draw you into his or her thoughts and feelings. This attraction, along with the beckoning awe and rugged splendor of rural North Dakota where I grew up, have been catalytic inspirations for me to write poetry.
While in college, I was equipped with tools to edit and refine my writing. I daily draw on those lessons learned, and I am grateful for the ongoing support of the people from whom I learned them.
Though my journey is in so many ways just beginning, these sources of inspiration and tools propelled me to put together some of what I have already written. I was blessed to find a welcoming publisher, and am pleased to highlight that my book Sunset Dreams is now available.
